Photographer Ande Whyland utilizes a fun, non-traditional approach to her photography that puts clients at ease. She captures images with an eye for details and an artist's flair.

A long-time resident of New York City, she has been working professionally as a photographer for more than ten years. Her background is in performance and events, clubs and parties. With her Leica cameras she specializes in documenting the downtown art and performance scene.

Four of her photos were included in the "East Village USA" show at The New Museum, December 2004 through March 2005. One was chosen for the cover of New Museum News. She also has a page in the Whitney Museum's book, "The American Century 1950-2000."

She has been published in a wide range of magazines including Mao, Artforum, Time Out NY, Mirabella, Harpers Bazaar, Taxi and Brutus.
